Which DVD Recorder should I buy?

You've been wanting to get a DVD recorder for a long time but you haven't wanted to play the part of "early adapter" and shell out the big bucks. Your wait is finally over. You can now get a DVD recorder at an affordable price. These units cost $200 and up and perform the simple task of recording onto a DVD. There are five different formats: DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM. Click here for more information about these formats. The presence of so many formats can be confusing. While not all formats play in all drives, DVR-R and DVD+R are compatible with most players. The drawback of both of these common formats is that you can only record one time per disc.
